I serve as the Executive Director at the International Economic Relations Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.

Prior to this, I worked as Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and Economist at the Structural Economic Research Department; and as an Economist at the Research and Monetary Policy Department.

I received my PhD degree in Economics in 2014, and MA degree in Economics in 2011 from the University of Virginia. I also obtained BA in Economics and BA in Political Science and International Relations degrees from Boğaziçi University.

My research interests are in Labor Economics and International Trade. I primarily focus on understanding the role of institutions and government policies in labor market outcomes of individuals and firms. My secondary focus revolves around the impact of government policies on trade performance of firms.
