I. Eye Brow
Acts as a barrier to prevent sweat from getting into the eye.
II. Eye Lashes
Filter and prevent dust from reaching the eye.
III. Tear Gland
Produces tears that lubricate the eye.
Tears contain enzyme that digests bacteria that enters the eye.
IV. Tear duct
Drains tears.
V. Sclera
· Tough, white outer covering that protects the eyeball.
VI. Iris
· Consists of two sets of antagonistic muscles – (i) circular muscles of the iris and (ii) radial muscles of the iris that control the size of the pupil.
VII. Pupil
· Opening through which light enters.
· Usually appears as black.
