I am assistant professor of Accounting at University of Massachusetts Lowell.
My research focuses on the role of corporate disclosure in stakeholders' decision-making, exploring both value creation and the associated processing costs of informaiton. I conduct these research primarily in capital market and supply chain contexts, often employing textual analysis techniques. As a former auditor, I also have a natural interest in auditing research and maintain a minor stream of work in this area.
Before joining academia, I have worked in various industry roles, including KPMG China (auditor), Bloomberg (part-time consultant), and a real estate company in upstate New York (accountant). As a researcher, teacher, and practitioner, I am passionate at creating and sharing knowledge, guiding thinking process, and enhancing students' skillsets in the Accounting profession.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, swimming, and fun activities with my two daughters.
