Our service area covers McMinn, Monroe, and Polk Counties. Any resident of our service area aged 5 and up is eligible for a library card at Etowah Carnegie Library! Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.
To register for a card, please bring a valid, unexpired ID and proof of address to the library. Minors (under the age of 18) must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign for their library card.
If you lose your library card, a new one can be issued for a $3.00 fee.
Library patrons will be asked to update their address and phone number annually to provide for uninterrupted library service. Please inform the library staff if your address or phone number has changed.
Your library card gives you instant access to our physical collections, digital collections, and a variety of other services provided by the library.
On your first visit, there is a checkout limit of 2 items. On your next visit, you can borrow up to 20 items (books, audiobooks, and DVDs) from any of the library's circulating collections. There is a limit of 3 DVDs and 5 audiobooks at a time.
Etowah Carnegie Library offers digital access library cards (eCards) for area residents age 5 and older. eCards provide access to our digital collections only, and cannot be used to check out physical library materials.
To sign up, please fill out our online eCard registration form. A parent or legal guardian can apply for an eCard on behalf of a minor in their care. Click here to learn more about our digital collections.
