I would like to do a journal on my project. It will be conducted throughout my project and will include what I do at each step. I would like to give something to people so that they can see exactly when I completed each step.

We chose our projects, and I chose mine, because I am interested in why the balloon can resist popping, regardless of the thickness of the rubber. This project consists of a bed of nails, all equally spaced across a wooden board; balloons; and a balloon pump, which my teacher has, to pump up the balloons.

The bed of nails, looks like this:
We received a packet with all of the information on this project. For my project, I will have to put the balloon on top of the bed of nails, place a board on top of that, and place some sort of weight on top of it all. The weight will serve as a pressure or a force pushing the balloon further down towards the nails.

Today I actually got to see my project. My physics teacher gave it to me and I got to take it home and test it out for the first time. I used books as my weight, and was able to stack about 13 books on top of a balloon! I didn't think it would hold that much, and also surprised my siblings by placing that many on top.
