Welcome to our website! Our PBL project deals with Mendelian genetics, or the laws and principles of heredity created by scientist Gregor Mendel. While flipping coins and mapping out pedigrees, the two of us gained fascinating knowledge about how physical characteristics are inherited, as well as why some traits tend to mask or cover up others. To determine the relationship between theoretical and actual results, we filled out a Punnett Square for several genotypes, then stimulated meiosis using two pennies. Afterwards, we researched various types of genetic conditions and the patterns that they form when passed on through the generations.

Our driving question is "How do genetic crosses provide information about inheritance?"
