The gyroscope was originally invented by a french experimental physicist, Leon Foucault, as a part of research on the Earths' rotational. Luckily it was made into its
own model and later used to investigate on concepts such as angular momentum, circular motion, and torque. All this took place in the 17th century in the lifetime of Foucault between 1819 and 1868. Although there were other physicists and scientist who followed up on his research and blueprints, which helped lead up to other scientists inventing and innovating other idea in which we use today in our lives.
One of these being the gyroscope model becoming enlarged to live size for humans to be entertained by. For entertainment, educational, and professional purposes. Human Gyroscopes can be purchased and used to demonstrate rotational axis of 360 degree turns of fun. NASA uses the gyroscope also to simulate space like action for its astronauts whether veterans or amateurs. It's great practice to figure out if an astronaut is ready or not. Even better, no lives will be lost and sucked into a black hole. As for the educational purpose, its a great demonstration to teach and explain the concepts of angular momentum, circular motion, and torque. The human gyroscope is a great ride used for many purposes and in many places. All thanks to Leon Foucault.
