Connected & Autonomous Mobility Laboratory (CAM Lab) is affiliated with the Department of Automotive Engineering, Hanyang University, Korea.
Our research focuses on the fundamentals and applications of Wireless Communication and AI (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning). We aim to advance future mobility services through Connected Autonomous Driving, UAV & Satellite Communications, and Radio Technology.
We are actively looking to recruit both M.S./Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows to join our group. If you are interested, please feel free to reach out to Prof. Jo at hsjo23@hanyang.ac.kr by submitting your CV. We look forward to hearing from talented individuals who are eager to contribute to our research and collaborative work environment.
We develop intelligent control algorithms for next-generation mobility using reinforcement learning techniques such as MARL and Safe RL. Our research targets communication-aware vehicle platooning, safe HEV energy management, and driver-personalized chassis control. By leveraging diverse simulation environments, we validate and optimize our methods to enhance the safety, efficiency, and adaptability of intelligent driving systems.
We develop advanced V2X communication frameworks for highly reliable autonomous driving. Our research covers RL-based multimodal beam management for optimal mmWave alignment, MAPPO-based redundancy mitigation for Cooperative Perception Messages (CPM) to improve perception coverage and alleviate network congestion, multi-channel operation to maximize PDR and fairness, and seamless handover technologies for uninterrupted service continuity.
We explore Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) for 6G networks by designing and optimizing dual-functional waveforms for both communication and sensing. Our research targets cell-free ISAC environments, focusing on central-server-based optimization for role and resource allocation across distributed access points. Additionally, we leverage the near-field characteristics of Extra-Large MIMO (XL-MIMO) to develop specialized ISAC techniques for beyond-6G scenarios.
We address the challenges of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellations in dynamic environments. Our research targets AI-driven radio wave propagation prediction, focusing on developing path loss models for complex environments using deep learning. We also investigate dynamic channel allocation and network performance modeling to ensure efficient coexistence and resource optimization in complex satellite networks.
