How does the Wimshurst Machine produce charge?
The Wimshurst Machine is a device created in 1880 by James Wimshurst.
It uses the property of induction to create a static charge. Induction is when a neutral object is polarized by being brought near a charged object.
You can see my video demonstration of the project for a longer explanation or go here to view the materials, procedure etc.
