Getting ready for the STEM festival and celebrating this week with all the different activities has been very fun. Saturday is going to be a blast! I hope the people like and enjoy my project this year.

Putting the final touches on this project! The year went by so fast, I can't believe our STEM Festival is only two weeks away. I feel very prepared to present my project to the public, but I'm slightly nervous. I really hope everything goes well. My video is done, and the pages on this website seem pretty well developed. I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I do.

Today, I have to start on my video and the brochure because it's already late. I already have my videos and pictures for the PBL video, but I have yet to put everything together. For my brochure, I'm still gathering information and stuff.

It's the last day of school before the Thanksgiving Break. I decided to stay after school so I could record some footage for the video of my project. Everything was going well; I was nearly done! I was on the last tube: Krypton. I'm guessing I got too confident and started being careless with the tubes. I didn't think they would be that fragile. I reached over to get Krypton, and it slipped from my hands back onto the table. I'm guessing it fell at the perfect angle, and it broke. It was terrible! I had just proven to my teacher that I wasn't a responsible adult. :( Luckily, he didn't get mad. All is well now, except for Krypton. R.I.P.

Another day put into this project. I've been trying to guess which gas emits what color and what color comes from which pressurized air. So far everything seems to be going fine. Argon is a Violet/Purple color, Neon is the brightest with a Red color, Carbon Dioxide is a Lilac Purple color, and Hydrogen in a Blue color.

A month has already passed, almost, and I've got most of my materials in check. The first set of Geissler tubes is already assembled from highest pressure level to lowest. The other gas filled tubes are just by themselves, they don't have a fancy stand. Today I was checking which tube gave off which colored glow. It's interesting seeing them glow, but it's also kinda scary because the Tesla Coil produces a high voltage of energy. So far, everything is going good.

Well, it didn't take long for the year long project to begin. We do PBL every year, and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. This year, I got assigned Geissler Tubes with all different kinds of tubes. Now they're filled with different gasses which makes the project a little bit cooler. Let's hope this year goes by smoothly.
