Background Research
In this project we will explore the Pascal Principle. In other words, the Principle of Transmission of Fluid Pressure. Using the formula Change in Hydro-static Pressure=(Fluid Density)x(Acceleration).
Materials
1 Rectangular Wooden plank
2 Long wooden columns
1 Mug of water
1 Meter of Plastic Tube
2 new Small Syringes
1 Spool of thread
1 Empty refill
Procedures
1. Create your choice of lift. In my case I made a Strawberry Picker Lift.
2. Make sure that you connect two small or big syringes together.
3. Fill the syringes with your choice of fluid. Examples, oil, water, water w/ food coloring, or any type of juice.
4. Make sure to not let any air inside the syringes.
5. Attach the syringes and tubing to your lift. In my chase I would conect it underneath the lift arm to push on the syringe and cause it to lift.
Scientific Principle
In this project, we focus on the way fluid pressure caused the movement of the created lift. This princple coming from Pascal Principle of Transmission of Fluid Pressure. The way mostly any type of fluid can cause the fluid transmission, proves Pascal's Principle.
