Bed of Nails

The Bed of Nails kit and its balloon popping, mind bending experiments work using scientific principles of surface area and pressure. By varying the number of nails and/or the air inside the balloon, the amount of pressure needed to puncture the balloon will change.

Pressure (P) = Force (F) / Area (A)

The reason this works is because all the pressure is evenly distributed instead of focalized in one point.

Procedures

Evenly drill 210 holes. Make sure they are aligned. Stick a nail and each hole. Once you have created the be of nails, test it out!
