My project is on the hand cranked generator. The hand cranked generator was made to create energy without a power source other than the power of a human begin. It is a device that converts mechanical energy into electric energy. The first generator that was made was by a Hungarian named Anyos Jedilk in . He made what is now called Jedlik's Dynamo. He began experimenting with the generator in 1821 but finished the project between 1852 and 1854. He made both the stationary and revolving parts electromagnetic. But there was also another more successful person who made the first electric generator. His name was Micheal Faraday,in the years of 1831 and 1832 he discovered the principle of the electromagnetic generators. This principle is now called Faraday's law. Even though Micheal Faraday made the first electromagnetic generator, the dynamo was the first generator to power a entire industry. The first official Dynamo was built and put t use in 1832. The Dynamo actually by error became the invention that helped discover many other things such as the electric motor, AC alternator, the AC synchronous motor, and the rotary converter. The Electric generator helped many things when it was made such as the industrial revolution all over the world. It helped the factories to gain power ad help production speed up. More stuff was being able to be produced at a faster rate. Generators now in days are being used to power cities all because of the magnetic theory that Micheal Faraday came up with along with the help of the design of the Hungarian Anyos Jedlik. This invention was very successful and was economically good for the owners for the industries because they did not have to hire as many workers in the factory.
