Questions:
1. What is your PBL project?
My PBL project is called Gyroscope toy. It consist of rotational dynamics, which means the angular displacement, angular speed and angular velocity, angular acceleration, and kinetic energy of an object rotating about an axis. What I have to do is spin the Gyroscope in a string to see the unique consequences of angular momentum, something that allows the gyroscope to resist force when you try to tilt it and also enables it to stand on its end without falling over while the inner wheel remains spinning.
2. Why did you choose this project?
I choose this project because it seems complicated but challenging at the same time.I also like to take the challenge in following this experiment for a whole year. I also find it different to what I did my sophomore year for my experiment.A big transition from chemistry experiments to now physics experiments.
3.What is your ELA project?
My project is going to be project one: Journal Entries
4.Why did you make that option choice?
I choose this project because is going to be a way for me to reflect and see what i have done since the start til the very end. This will help me and my teachers see how i progressed in my assignment and my experiment as time will pass by getting closer to the end of the year.

What I'm planning to do is do some research in different kinds of Gyroscope toy 's. This can help me out by given me an idea on how i can brain storm ideas for my project. Another thing I'm planning to do is do some background research on this toys, to give me a reference when doing my project. Something else I need to do is buy a string so the Gyroscope Toy is able to function properly.Next thing I'm going to do is go talk to my Physics teacher about my different ideas i come up with, so he can guide me in choosing the better idea to do for my PBL.

Now that I have received news about my supply's arriving in a few days, i need to start planning my schedule for when I'm going to do the experiment. My plan is to get my materials and apply my ideas i was researching. Also incorporate some of the background research done in my research. I will also need to purchase extra supply's.Some of the extra supply's is going to be string to string to rap around the Gyroscope so it can be able to spin and balance.

Time for pictures of my materials for my PBL for Physics. In my PBL for Physics I must take photo's of my materials as well as a video for the action my experiment creates. What I'm thinking to do is first take the photos and upload them to my site. Then when I put the string on the Gyroscope I will ask for help from one of my classmates or my parents to record the action after i let go the string. So far i feel that the progress of my experiment is going well, I'm keeping up with my assignments.

I will be seeking assistance from my Physics teacher Mr. Taslama. Because I have some questions about my project. Seeking the assistance of a peer or a teacher can be really helpful in trying to understand some instructions or even some questions about the steps for the PBL. I will consult with Mr. Taslama once we get back from Thanksgiving break.

Today i will be doing the PBL for Physics which is going to be taking photos and video of the Gyroscope in action. I will be needing a computer and a camera. Once all the photos and videos are done I will upload them. The video must be through you tube, so this means I must create a an account in You tube, so I can be able to edit and upload smoothly to this site.

Today I went to go buy the string and a charger for my camera so i can began taking video and photos.Another thing I forgot to add to my journals was my revisions after i do the first try. I am planning to record my trials and then record my revisions including comments and some thoughts i have changed. I also need to fix a small part of the Gyroscope because is broken which could compromise the balance and speed as it rotates.
