Introduction:
What is your problem statement or question?
Why does the Dropper Popper bounce higher than where you dropped it from? We are trying to figure out what makes the popper act the way it does. Find out what makes the difference and if it can reach a high height.
Materials:
All I needed was the Dropper Popper and a hard floor.
Procedure:
The Dropper Popper will need some finger strength, the popper will need to be pushed in with your fingers so it looks like it is inside out. Then face down from a shoulder distance you will drop it, gravity will do most of the work and it will hit the floor. The popper will quickly activate and pop so that the energy that we stored can be released. It will reach a height that is way higher than where you dropped it from.
Scientific Principle:
Conservation of Energy: Extra energy is stored when the Dropper Popper is pushed in with your fingers.
Activation energy: Energy is stored in the popper as in a molecule. With a little bit of "activation energy" (dropping from a height), the stored energy can be released.
Safety Regulations:
Make sure the Dropper Popper doesn't pop on somebody. It can harm a person.
