Research
My research investigates the causes and consequences of epilepsy in the human brain. The primary tool I use for these investigations is Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). I use MRI-based image analysis to identify brain changes in epilepsy, and assist in surgical planning for individuals with severe epilepsy. I'm also interested in developing statistical techniques to assist in planning and carrying out big neuroimaging studies.

7T MP2RAGE whole brain MRI scans of healthy controls (N = 21) and epilepsy patients (N = 16) with manual and automated hippocampus and amygdala labels

Sample size estimation using bootstrapping

A cloud-based system for predicting an individual's age using a brain MRI scan

Calculate how many subjects to include in a well-powered cortical thickness study

Figure out if you can pool MRI-derived morphometric estimates if conditions have changed; for example you have changed scanners.
