RIGHT: The main function of these specialists is answering phones.
Use pronouns correctly and inclusively
WRONG: We need a supervisor that makes great decisions. He will be responsible for a team of four.
BETTER: We need a supervisor who makes great decisions. They will be responsible for a team of four.
EVEN BETTER: We need a supervisor who makes great decisions. The supervisor will be responsible for a team of four.
Avoid misplaced modifiers
WRONG: As head of the department, many processes were implemented. (The processes were not the head of the department.)
RIGHT: As head of the department, she implemented many processes.
