The Richard P. Allen Sleep & Circadian Trainee Award aims to provide financial support for trainees engaged in sleep and circadian research to present their scholarly work at a sleep- or circadian rhythm-related conference (e.g., APSS Annual Sleep Meeting, World Sleep, ATS, SRS, SRBR etc). Recipients of this award will receive up to $1,500 to support expenses associated with attending the conference (i.e., hotel, airfare, food, registration). Applications from trainees with demonstrated need are especially encouraged. Applicants must a) be a student or trainee (e.g., undergraduate, graduate, medical student, resident, postdoctoral fellow) conducting sleep/circadian research and b) submit and present an abstract at this year's Johns Hopkins Sleep & Circadian Research Day.
