Question: Who will be providing the tutoring for the student during their home stay? 

Answer:  The Homestay host will provide the tutoring: One designated person in the homestay family will be responsible for tutoring the student 60 min/day, 4x a week in a 1:1 setting.  In these sessions the tutor/host:

     o   gives homework assignments

     o   checks homework

     o   discusses the student's daily schedule

     o   read and discuss a book together

     o   answer any questions the students may have

           Following the tutoring session, the tutor should briefly note what was covered in the session on a log (Google Doc) that will be shared with the host by the Homestay Coordinator.

**If a Homestay host is unable to provide the tutoring session as described above, they should notify the Homestay Coordinator prior to committing to homestay.

For homework, students should:

-choose 5 vocabulary words/day to make sentences

-blog 1-2 times on the EF blog (students should come prepared knowing how to do this already)* about his/her homestay experiences

-and do any other additional assignment the tutor may give.
