Question: How can we have a “Character quality emphasis” during our home stay experience?
Answer: We ask for home stay families to choose at least one character quality that they will focus on during the home stay experience. As you go about your daily routines try to emphasize this quality in as many ways as possible.
• Discussing it during family worship time.
• Talking about its application during chore time.
• Observing it in others during outside activities.
• Taking note of it while reading books or doing games as a family.
A helpful project to do in conjunction with the character quality emphasis is Lap Book making. Have your student make a lap book that highlights the character quality studied while at the same time documents experiences and learning throughout the period of home stay.
