Associate Professor of Pharmacology

Ø Dr. Mohammad Tariq Salman did MBBS and MD in Pharmacology from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University

Ø Senior Resident at JN Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, involved in teaching and training of medical dental and pharmacy students.

Ø Joined as Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Era’s Lucknow Medical College, Lucknow.

Ø Subsequently promoted to Associate Professor. Thereafter worked as Associate Professor of Pharmacology at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia where he taught and coordinated Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics courses.

Ø With 14 years of research and teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Ø As an active member of the Medical Education Unit, Era’s Lucknow Medical College organized workshops for in-house training of faculty and postgraduate students.

Ø Member, Animal House Committee & Institutional Animal Ethics Committee.

Ø Co-coordinator of undergraduate teaching program for para-clinical subjects & PG Coordinator, Department of Pharmacology.

Ø Fields of research are Herbal drugs, Rational Use of Medicines, Pharmacovigilance, Antimicrobial resistance, Medical Education and Diabetes Mellitus.

Ø More than 35 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and presented research papers in several conferences.

Ø Co-author of ‘A Guide to the Alternatives to Animal Experimentation’ which is presently in its third edition and prescribed in pharmacology curriculum for MBBS students. Also authored a book entitled Antimicrobial Activity of Nigella sativa Against Resistant Bacteria and chapters in books.

Ø Received grant for a research project studying the effect of statins on hs-CRP and supervised several students in short term research projects.

Ø Delivered talks in several workshops related to medical education, biomedical research ethics, and research publication.

Ø Experience in guiding Ph.D. and several MD students

Ø On the board of reviewers of several international journals of repute.
