My name is Maeve Madden, and I'm a fourth year Slytherin Prefect. As I mentioned previously, I took over Chinese Festivals from Prof. Scarlet Leslie-Lewis, who wrote the class. 

I took this course in my first semester at HOL and so far, it has been my favourite class! I am very lucky to be able to take it over. I hope you like it as much as I do! 

This is an introduction to Scarlet. She wrote this when she was teaching the class:

"As you probably know, I am Scarlet Leslie-Lewis. I am a Slytherin professor. I do have a HOL diploma... Yes, I've been here a long time.

You have Amy Lupin to thank for this class. While e-mailing back and forth, she kept asking if I could teach some Chinese. A little vocabulary is a start, right? ;)

In RL, I am a doctor of pharmacy. I love volleyball and puzzles (all types, not just logic).

"My family is from Taiwan 台灣. I live in New Jersey 新澤西 (xīn zé xi) in the United States 美國 (Měiguó). Taiwan is about the same size as New Jersey... Coincidence?"
