This will be my 25th year teaching. Most of it has been in Coolidge. I worked here from 1998 to 2007. I then went to Higley from 2007 to 2014. Then I came back to Coolidge in 2014. I have taught 6th, 7th, 8th, and Algebra.
I am an Arizona native. I grew up in Mesa, Apache Junction and ended up graduating High School from Casa Grande Union High School in 1992.
My wife, Shell and I married on June 8th, 2013. She is my best friend and we have crazy Hoke Adventures all the time. To know us is to laugh.
We adopted our son in 2021. His name is Ben and he also attends Coolidge High School. He will be a Junior this school year. He has played on the high school football team as a lineman and in 2022 he joined track for the first time. He likes to ride his bike and do tricks on his skateboard. He is an incredible artist. Maybe this is just a proud mom thing to say.
I am a high school coach. I have coached jr high football as well as high school football, but it has been awhile since I have coached that. I have coached soccer for the past four years. This will be my 3rd year as the head woman's soccer coach. I have coached track for about 23 years. I am the head coach for our CHS track and field team. My main events I coach are the throws (shot put, discuss, and javelin). I love throwing things. I did track in high school and on scholarship in college.
I played women's football for 10 years. The three teams I played for are the Arizona Caliente, Phoenix Prowlers, and the Arizona Assassins. My first few years I played defensive line and then my last few years I played offensive left guard. It was some of the best years of my life.
I also do the Highland Scottish games. I have been involved with that off and on for the past 16 years. That is the one where you throw poles that remind people of telephone poles, rocks, hammers (not the kind you use with nails), and throw stuff over things. I took a few years break and decided to try it again. The last games I participated in was July 17, 2022 in Flagstaff, AZ.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in 5th grade. So when people ask what is your dream job, I tell them I'm living it. I truly want to make learning math as easy as possible. If you have questions, never be afraid to speak up. No one can speak for you, better than you.

CJ and me. I call him CJ Doggy.
Molly. I call her my Molly Moo Moo or Molly Ann
Bugs. I call him my Bugs A Boo
These are my doggies. I love them so much. Yes, I'm that weird person who sings to them. They have been loving it that I have been home all day. Many times, CJ will lie underneath my feet as I am doing my school stuff. So, be prepared, I talk about my dogs a lot.
Here is Simba, Molly, and Bugs chilling on the couch. They think it is their bed not our sitting spot.
Simba is getting to be such a big boy. It is hard to take a picture of him sitting still. He is a puppy and is ALWAYS on the move.
Shell, grandma and I. We were just posing for the camera.
Me and my mom after one of my football games.
One of my favorite picture of my dad and I.
My mom and grandma were two of the biggest supporters of me growing up. I miss them both so very much. My mom passed away in 2009 and my grandma passed away in 2014.
My dad is a pretty amazing guy as well. I talk to him most every morning. We talk about all kinds of things. He is so silly at times. I'm glad he is my dad. We are very much alike at times and it drives my wife crazy. It keeps her on her toes.
Taking selfies is not something people did before my mom passed away, so I did my own kind of selfie picture.
Just being weirdos.
One of my favorite pictures of my mom, grandma, and myself.
Our trip to Bearzona. We went in 2021.
My wife and I being silly at the playground.
My extended family. Skylar top left (my nonbiological niece), myself, Erika (my nonbiological sister), Ben (my son), he is holding Emery (my Goddaughter), and my wife (Michelle).
Graduating in 2016 with my masters degree.
Highland games 2021 in Flagstaff. My cousin Kenny, his wife Pammy, my wife Shell, my son Ben, and myself. We took a family picture. My grandma was from Scotland and her maiden name was Munro. So when Kenny and I compete at the Highland games, we represent our Clan Munro.
My dad and I after one of my football games.
Shell and I. I was being serious and getting ready for the next play...my wife was playing around. :)
This is one of my Highland game competitions. This one was in Flagstaff. This is called the caber. I was helping to bring it back to the next competitor.
This is from my last games. I was getting ready to throw the stone. Much like a shot put.
