General Reminders
Make sure your temple recommend is current, or contact your ward executive secretary to schedule an interview well in advance of your trip. Members of the bishopric or stake presidency may not be available to conduct last minute interviews.
If you are involved in live sealings/marriages please ensure you have the correct "Recommend for Live Ordinances" for your trip even if you have a current regular temple recommend. "Live sealings" mean sealings between living parents and children and/or a living person to a deceased spouse.
Remember that many temples no longer have supplies of temple clothing for hire. Please ensure that you bring your own with you.
For first time temple ordinances, your Bishop will advise you on the procedure to follow for your visit.
Temple Trip Specifics
Please make your own airline travel bookings to and from Sydney.
Once you have made your bookings, please register online to confirm your attendance on the day at the temple and book your seat on the bus if needed. This can be done using the "Register to attend" link on this website (in the top left menu).
Members can also use the Sydney Metropolitan Transport System using either the Opal Card or your Visa or Mastercard Debit/Credit Card. Ensure that you tap both on and off the bus/train/light rail/ferry services.
Breakfast will be provided on Friday and Saturday morning if you are staying at the Temple accommodation. Lunch and dinner can be purchased at your own expense at Carlingford Court shopping centre across the road from the Temple.
You are encouraged to take your own family names with you to gain the most out of your temple experience.
If you are intending to take family names to the temple, please send your Family Ordinance Request (FOR) to the temple at least a week before the trip and also take a duplicate with you on the day. If you already have printed Ordinance Cards, don't forget to take them with you.
