This page will show how I put my portfolio together.
To make my portfolio I mainly used google sites and google drive. I used google sites because it is a fairly easy to use website builder, and it has a lot of customization options, and I can easily embed all my other work which has been done on google docs etc.
The first thing I did on my site was to create all the pages and structure them correctly, so the context pages and section pages were all in the right place and in a logical order, e.g. creating and testing portfolio was in the Digital Portfolio section.
I then created folders in my drive to separate out all of the pieces of work and assets I had made so I could find and embed it easily.
Inside each of these folders are my assets, and all the work for each part of the unit.
All of the files in this folder are in .psd format, so i can edit them in photoshop if I need to, and also in .png format so I can easily add them to my site straight from google drive.
My navigation bar is suitable for my intended audience as the most important things are closer to the beginning, like the Animation tab and the Digital Portfolio tab. These are most important as they are what I would want people to look at when they first come to the site. I have also laid out the pages in a fairly logical order, and on each of the pages that need subpages there are buttons, instead of a dropdown menu, as I didn't know what else to put on the page if there weren't any buttons.
Next I finished the site,by adding the assets to the pages and choosing the colours etc.
I chose these colours as they are my favourite colours (blue and purple) and I thought that a good way to represent me with the site would be to use colours that I like. I also used these particular shades because Adobe's colour wheel said that they worked well together.
I did a browser test of my site so I can make sure that whatever my intended audience uses to look at my site, it will work and they will be able to see everything.
Most of my feedback for the portfolio was to change my logo, because it was unprofessional and slightly odd, so to improve my site I made a new one in photoshop, and embedded it to the homepage.
