VISION AND MISSION
Our vision:
Hong Kong Spanish Speech and Culture Festival (HKSSCF) is a non-profit interscholastic organization, comprised of diverse Hong Kong Spanish Language Educators, which aims to provide a venue for Spanish language students whereby they can showcase and celebrate the Spanish language through poetry recitation, the performing arts, gastronomy, and other Hispanic cultural artistic expressions, while building a greater appreciation for the Spanish language and promoting the Hispanic culture in Hong Kong.
Our mission:
To provide our student and school communities with an opportunity to develop their interest in the Spanish language, the Hispanic cultural and artistic expressions.
To coordinate efforts from different parties by offering a quality Spanish language and Hispanic cultural education event.
To offer a rich cultural experience, nurture and reward the efforts that our students put into the Spanish language and the Hispanic arts.
To encourage and celebrate the diverse cultures between Hispanic people and the young generations of Hong Kong and their families.
To invite the native Spanish-speaking community to serve as an audience of the work of students and to inspire and excite students with feedback, recognition and encouragement.
To offer Spanish language and Hispanic culture-related business in Hong Kong the opportunity to contribute to the festival in the form of prizes to the students and contributions towards the gastronomical component of the festival.
This edition is co-organized by 5 different schools. Each school, through the Spanish Department, provides the resources necessary for each edition of the Festival. We have also the inestimable help of several sponsors that help economically.
