2.Victoria's Peak/Harbor & Mid-Levels Escalators

Day 2: Monday, September 5th: Day Spent with Auntie Maria and Cousin Natalie.

We met up with Auntie Maria and Cousin Natalie near the Central MTR Station. The plans of the day were sightseeing The Peak, taking the double decker tram, visiting the famous Midway Escalators, taking the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbor, seeing the Hong Kong and Kowloon skylines, walking the Avenue of Stars, and having dinner with Auntie Maria's family. It turns out that the Tram was not running that exact day. =( However, there's a bus route that goes to Victoria's Peak!

Victoria's Peak - Auntie has told me that this was the first place that my parents had their first date and that they walked the Hong Kong Trail. Along this trail, you are able to see great views of the Hong Kong skyline.

Though we didn't go to Madame Tussard's, it is located at the Peak!

Mid-Levels Escalators: These escalators are considered the longest outdoor covered escalator in the World! Located near the Central Station in Hong Kong, we had to take on this ride! When we were there, the escalators went up. The escalators go down in the morning from 6am to 10:20 am and switches to going up from that time to midnight. There are 20 escalators, with 14 of them having entrances/exits.

Star Ferry: This ferry takes you to and from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon across Victoria Harbor. The best time to take this ferry for the skyline lights is when the sun starts to set!
