*Homework will be given Monday - Thursday.
*Homework consists of 2 pages on Monday - Thursday.
*Please make sure all the pages of the homework are completed and all the pictures on the letter/phonics page are colored everyday.

*All the pictures on the letter/phonics must be colored even if the directions do not say to color.
*Please remind your child to write and color neatly. It is important to develop good work habits right away.
*Homework that is turned in unfinished will result in a card change and your child will finish it in class.
*In addition to the daily homework, your child will also have a Reading Log and a Home Journal.
*Reading Log: You or your child will need to read a book Monday - Friday. You can read books borrowed from the class or books you have at home. Please remember to sign the Reading Log after you or your child has read.
*Home Journal: Your child needs to write one page in the Home Journal every Tuesday and Wednesday. Your child can write about anything he/she wants. Please encourage your child to do temporary spelling (ear spelling) in the journal. Please do not spell for your child. The Home Journal will be collected every Thursday.
*Skill Sheets:
*Skill Sheets provide an enrichment activity for your child. Each Skill Sheet includes
12-16 skills to help your child learn important skills and concepts for kindergarten to first
grade.
*There are a total of six Skill Sheets.
*Ringwords:
*Ringwords help your child learn to read and spell sight words.
*Your child will receive 10 sight words at a time.
*Ringwords go up to 300 sight words.
