2005–2008: Programme Manager, Just Ecology Ltd. Responsibilities included team management, business development, peer review, and day-to-day management of large scale habitat surveys and species monitoring projects, as well as project work.
2001–2005: Senior Ecologist, Just Ecology Ltd. Field survey and assessment, project management, desk review, analytical research and policy development. Lead consultant for botanical and habitat survey and for GIS and database work.
2000–2001: Biodiversity Records Officer, Bristol Regional Environmental Records Centre. SNCI survey, management and development of databases, liaising with records, clients and volunteers. GIS project work.
2000–2000: Assistant to Nature Conservation Advisers, the National Trust. Desk top research, library management and support.
1999–2000: Assistant Plant Ecologist, Biological Survey Team, the National Trust. Detailed habitat survey (Phase 1 & 2) and production of Biological Evaluation reports with management recommendations.
1996–1999: Teaching, demonstrating and marking at the University of the West of England, including field trips to calcareous grassland, woodland and moorland.
