The Hernando County Retired Educators Association (HCREA) supports retired educators and our community on the west coast of Florida through our programs and volunteering. We are not a political organization, however, together with the Florida Retired Educators Association (FREA), we work to maintain our FRS pension, COLA adjustments, and health care subsidy. The FREA has a representative for our ongoing legislative needs in Tallahassee.

The Hernando County Retired Educators Association was established in November, 2015.

We are also on Facebook so spread the word that we welcome all retirees from the education field to our meetings and many social events.
