SEPTEMBER 2015 TRUNK SHOW AND WORKSHOP

Trunk Show and Workshop, September 18-19, 2015

Our annual fall events will begin at Associated Church on Friday, September 18^th (800 Havana Road, Owatonna MN 55060). There will be a silent auction beginning at 6:00 pm. At 7:00 PM Liz Belina will present a trunk show entitled "Quilts and Their Story". The quilts are from those collected and many that she has made. There will also be a raffle, door prizes and refreshments will be served. Cost for this event is $3.

The workshop will be on Saturday, September 19^th at Associated Church (location change from previous posts) (800 Havana Road, Owatonna). The project is "Heritage Posies 2015", designed by Liz Belina and Linda Jewison. The finished size is 42 x 50 inches. There are 2 options to choose from, both shown below. There is also a photo of an example made with batik fabrics. A list of material requirements is shown below the photos.

The cost for Guild members is $25, nonmembers $30. Lunch is included in the registration.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

6 -12 assorted 1/4 yd. or fat quarters for flowers

(This is enough for border flowers also)

½ yd. Center background

½ yd. Binding

Option 1: ¼ yd. Green leaves

1 yd. Outer background

¼ yd. Yellow flower centers or buttons

You can decide on the fabrics in each flower block, in fact, you can decide if you want this size wall hanging, if you want to change the borders or if you want to make it a table runner or placemat. All of this is possible, let your imagination run wild.
