I am working as a Wireless R&D Systems Engineer at Qualcomm, San Diego, specializing in physical layer algorithm design and advanced cellular systems. I lead critical contributions to 5G commercialization and emerging 6G research, with work spanning receiver design, system validation, and 3GPP (RAN1/RAN4) standardization. My work is reflected in ~90 patent applications, technical contributions, and innovations that have impacted modem performance in millions of devices worldwide.
I am an IEEE senior Member and currently the Vice Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (San Diego Chapter) and an active mentor in IEEE Collabratec. I am also a member of IEEE ComSoC.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, I pursued my Ph.D in the Decision, Information and Communications Engineering (DICE) track of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin. My graduate adviser was Prof. Haris Vikalo. As a member of the Wireless Networking and Communications Group, my research experience focused on signal processing, estimation and machine learning, with applications in wireless communication and computational biology.
Before joining UT Austin, I earned my Master's degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 2009, where I worked with Prof. A. Chockalingam on limited feedback precoding in Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) channels.
