  25. My student and DeitY TTS sponsored project staff member, Ms. Tanvina B.   26.   27. My student coauthor, Mr. Maulik C. Madhavi, received IAPR (International Association for Pattern Recognition) Travel Scholarship for presenting our joint paper at International Conference on Biometrics, ICB’12, Delhi, India. The grant has been approved by Dr. Salil Prabhakar (IEEE Fellow).

  28. My doctoral student, Mr. Maulik C. Madhavi received LDC Data Scholarships (Spring 2013 program). The scholarship involves free licensed use of Switchboard Cellular Part 1 Transcribed Audio (LDC2001S15) and 1997 HUB4 English Evaluation Speech and Transcripts 9LDC2002S11).

  3. The progress review meeting during Oct. 12-13, 2013 for DeitY phonetic engine consortium project headed by Prof. B. Yegnanarayana (IEEE Fellow and ISCA Fellow) of IIIT Hyderabad.

  4. Progress review meeting during June 14-15, 2014 for DeitY TTS Phase II consortium project headed by Prof. Hema A. Murthy of IIT Madras.

  5. Presently, served as chair for organizing the committee, Winter School on Speech and Audio Processing (WiSSAP) Jan. 04-07, 2015 at DA-IICT Gandhinagar.   6. Developed a state-of-the-art speech signal processing laboratory of international standards at DA-IICT Gandhinagar. The lab is fully air-conditioned and equipped with high-performance computing servers, personal computers, good quality microphones, Bose speakers, storage drives, printer, scanner, webcam, etc. [Link]

  7. Contribution to manpower training and resource building: With the support from sponsored projects and DA-IICT, we trained about 07 Ph.D. scholars, 27 masters students and 10 B.Tech. students, 05 temporary consultants, 01 data entry operator and 01 visually challenged person.
