Term news 

Hello and welcome to Heartsong Community Choir,

We have an exciting Autumn term starting in September and here are a few dates and details about what to look forward to next term.    Sessions will be led by Iona, Susie and Ruth.  We meet on Tuesday evenings in the Arts Centre 7.30 to 9.30. Please do invite friends and family to come along and give us a try - first session is free for new people!

key dates:

Tuesday 2nd September :  Iona will lead the first session of the Autumn term. 

Saturday 27th September :  Singing in Harmony with Ben and Dom. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a workshop and a performance by two highly praised singers and choir leaders.  An opportunity not to be missed.  The workshop and performance will take place in the round studio at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.   Further information & tickets are available here:

About us

Heartsong Choir meets every Tuesday evening, usually in the round studio. The choir is open to anyone with an interest in singing regardless of musical knowledge or previous experience. You do not need to read music and there are no auditions! (see Style and Approach).  

The main aim of the choir is to enjoy singing together. Singing is fun and good for your health and wellbeing.  Even if you have never sung before or it’s been a long time since you sang in a choir, we are a friendly group and new singers will be welcomed into the choir.

We are an acapella choir and our tutors teach songs from different genres and styles – folk, gospel, pop, African, Georgian, as well as traditional and contemporary songs from these shores.  Songs are usually taught in three or four-part harmonies and you will have a chance to discover where your own voice feels most comfortable.

We sing for the pure enjoyment of singing together in harmony.  Heartsong is not a performing choir, but we do take part in events throughout the year.  For example, ‘Sing for Water’, carols at Christmas and other charity fund raising events.
