Hearthwood PTA
What is PTA?
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association - a formal group of parents, teachers and staff working to support our school.
Mission
The Hearthwood PTA fosters an inclusive school community and unlocks every child’s potential by supporting critical academic needs, funding vital teacher and staff grants, and advocating for student health, safety, and educational quality.
Vision
Hearthwood PTA welcomes support and includes every family, teacher and administrator as an important part of the PTA.
We listen to one another in order to realize the aims and dreams of our children.
We encourage excellence and supplement school resources through teacher and enrichment grants.
We build community and relationships while embracing diversity.
We have fun while doing it!
History: Our PTA was chartered in May of 1981. Since then we have granted Hearthwood Elementary security cameras, a track, play structures, thousands of dollars for books, thousands of dollars for field trips and so much more. On top of that we have thrown hundreds of free events! We hope to continue this level of support for the next 40 years. You can help that happen by chairing an event, supporting fundraisers, finding out if your employer has a volunteer match policy, volunteering your time and joining us at PTA meetings.

By joining a committee or becoming a Chair, you will not have to take on everything by yourself. PTA is a TEAM effort to make sure our school is as great as it can be.
