Juicing Recipes
Juicing recipes has helped us a lot like getting rid of migraine headaches, cracking joints and backaches, it has helped us to have more energy, helped in losing weight, diabetes and many more. Frankly, it might even stopped breast cancer for me. I never had it checked but I used to have this nagging pain in my right breast that went on for probably a year, maybe more. I was getting scared because it was getting worse everyday. But I didn't have the nerve to tell my family. I assure you we had some history of breast cancer in the family. Anyway, with our juicing, the pain gradually stopped and it hasn't bothered me since.
One important note though is that we use organic produce for our juicing. Why? Well, a lot of the things we buy these days have been grown with herbicides and pesticides in them. You wouldn't want to take that into your system would you? I won't!
Since we have young kids, we decided to take juices that would be healthy and would also suit the taste of our children. We discovered that our children like the juice made up of 2 parts carrots, 1 part apple and 1 part orange, for example we mix 200ml carrot juice, 100ml apple juice and 100 ml orange juice. Of course, it doesn't have to be accurately measured.
At first, we take just one cup of juice a day. Later we got it up to about 6 cups a day. It can be addictive sometimes so an increase in intake is not unlikely. However, be careful of too much intake. Everything should be in moderation.
Why do I say that? Too much juicing has caused us to get a little bit of psoriasis. From talking to a naturopath, we learned that when you are juicing, the body is detoxifying itself and if the toxins can't get it out through natural channels, it many times will use it's largest eliminative organ (our skin) to push out the toxins. So that is what happened to us. Anyway, I found out that Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is very helpful in getting rid of my psoriasis. And of course, taking juices in moderation did the job for me.
So, we decided to cut down our intake since we believe we were over doing it as we were juicing 2-3 cups three times a day. Now, we just juice 1-2 times a day and on some days we dilute our juice with water.
For our liver detox juice, we use a mix of carrots, apple, orange, ginger, garlic, beetroot, lemon, and milk thistle. This juicing recipe has helped get rid of my diabetes in just a few weeks. I had gestational diabetes when I got pregnant previously and I noticed that the diabetes seemed to have stayed with me as the doctors have warned. But with this juicing recipe, I don't have the diabetic symptoms I used to feel.
It would be good to experiment on different kinds of juices and also do some research on what they can do to your health. The internet is a great resource.
