Fungi
Your teams will use the websites and books listed in the Resources section of this WebQuest to learn more about your topic. Mr. Carpenter will help you read and then explain the information in the websites as well as watch science videos as a class. You will record your findings in a provided notebook. The next step will be for your team to share your notes with Mr. Carpenter to create a mind map that displays how your assigned topic can affect humans. When each team completes their diagram they will be posted on the Internet to share with the head of the CDC.
The "structure of nature" research teams will work to answer the following two questions:
How can your structure in nature (germ, virus, bacteria, fungus) positively affect human health?
How can your structure in nature negatively affect human health?
The "healthy habits" team will do research to then create a poster listing their top 5 or more things each of us can do to say healthy. In other words, what steps can we take so that germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi have less of a negative effect on us? You will display your poster in a local school to provide guidance for the students.
Go to Resources to start your research.
