Site Rules

1. A deposit of £50 is required to secure your booking, and all hire payments must be paid before leaving. If you are paying via cheque, please make it payable to Headlands Adventure Centre Trust.

2. Your hire charge covers average water and electricity usage. If you use an excessive amount of water or electricity, we reserve the right to charge extra to ensure our costs are met.

3. Activities within the confines of the site are unrestricted, except where any such pursuits are likely to cause damage to equipment or the environment. The trees on the site must not be damaged in any way. Campfires must only be lit in the place provided and must be supervised at all times.

4. All areas of the site must be left in the condition that you find them in and all Headlands’ property must be treated with respect. Any loss or damage in excess of normal wear and tear will be charged for.

5. Adequate fire and accident precautions are the responsibility of the group occupying the site. Fire extinguishers are provided, but accidental discharge must be paid for. Please familiarise yourselves with the location of the fire bell and fire buckets. Please bring your own FIRST AID KIT.

6. The site must be kept clean and tidy at all times. All rubbish to be placed in the correct bins provided. Please follow signs on the bins for recycling. We strongly recommend that burnable rubbish is burnt daily. Please remember foil cartons and liquid food do not burn.

7. Liquid food waste must not go down the drains but placed in the white containers provided. These containers must be emptied into the waste tank behind the toilets and thoroughly cleaned before departure.

8. Groups must ensure that a responsible person oversees the toilets. Please remember we are NOT on mains drainage. To avoid blockages only 2 ply toilet paper must be used. DO NOT put quilted toilet paper, wipes or cotton wool down the toilets.

9. Please respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum between 10pm and 8am.

10. All organisations must have their own adequate insurance cover for ALL PERSONS on the site. Under no circumstances will claims for injury, loss or damage however caused, be accepted by the Trust.

11. Gates must be closed at all times; locked at night and when away from the Site.

12. NO DOGS are allowed on the site, except for Assistance Dogs.

13. We do not allow SMOKING (including vaping) or ALCOHOL on the site.

14. NO CAMPERVANS or CARAVANS.
