Headlands Adventure Centre

Headlands Adventure Centre is a sheltered site off the main Salisbury to Ringwood Road with adequate facilities for young people to enjoy a carefree and active holiday. These days many young people are concerned about the environment and we hope that a visit to Headlands will help them to realise that a small site like this can be a haven for many of our plants and animals, and therefore worth saving and developing both for their use and for the native flora and fauna.

Camping is on a large grassed area by the lakeside (used for canoeing, raft building and fishing). Tents and a large marquee can be supplied or campers may bring their own. There is also a large grassed area for games, and an allocated camp fire area.

We have some groups who have been coming to us for 20 years, and we welcome groups from a wide area - as near as Ringwood and as far away as Yorkshire.

Among those are Boys’ Brigade, Girls’ Brigade, Church Youth Groups and Whole Church Groups. All are welcome.

Our Aims:

  1. To offer facilities for outdoor pursuits and camping to Church based Youth Organisations.
  2. The promotion of Christian instruction to young people in a holiday environment.
  3. To provide educational facilities to encourage the appreciation and care of the natural environment and flora and fauna.

Our book written for the 30 Year Anniversary of Headlands containing the story of the site including many pictures from throughout the years is now available on Amazon here in eBook and Paperback editions.
