Mildenhall hosted it's biggest triathlon festival to date in 2018, with almost double the number of competitors as in the inaugural event two years earlier!
Some 179 athletes completed the distance in their choice of triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon on Sunday 26 August in the Abbeycroft Leisure Triathlon Festival.

Almost 100 athletes swam, cycled and ran round Mildenhall when the town hosted its first triathlon and duathlon.
Mildenhall Tri – the Abbeycroft Leisure Triathlon Festival, was held in 2016, with Sprint and Sprint+ distances held in triathlon and duathlon complementing the aquathlon held the day before. All of the events were held in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.
It returned in 2017, with 117 athletes competing across the various races.
