Welcome

I am Ha Tran, an associate professor working in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the Concordia University of Edmonton. I am also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Calgary.

My interests are in the areas of algebraic number theory, especially on ideal lattices, elliptic curve isogenies, and their applications in Cryptography and Coding theory.

Currently, with collaborators and students I am working on projects related to the distribution of ideal lattices,  constructing well-rounded ideal lattices for applications in coding theory, computing the unit groups of number fields, fast arithmetic in the divisor class group of function fields, and on two candidates for post-quantum cryptography: lattice-based cryptography and isogeny-based cryptography.
