Hua Cheng (Harry)

 程华 (In Chinese)

I obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. I am an Affiliate Visiting Professor at the University of Texas at Austin,  an Associate Professor and research fellow at Sun Yat-sen University, and a columist for Peking University News Center. Previously, I was an Associate Professor (after Assistant Professor) at Nankai University (2017-2023), a special-term Professor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (2024-2025), and a financial news editor at Thomson-Reuters (2007-2009).

My main research fields are economic development, international business, information systems, operations management, corporate finance, and law & economics. My research were published in leading journals such as Journal of Law and Economics (lead article), Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Development Economics, and Production and Operations Management, and are R&R for leading journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and The Accounting Review.
