For year 45, the Bordentown Street Fair has a new name! Now being held about five minutes from the original festival site, the Bordentown Steet Fair has become the Steel Mill Street Fair at the Roebling Museum. With better parking, enhanced shopping, and more area for family fun, this festival is sure to be a hit!

We are excited to be close to home for a new event this year. While the Beach Plum Festival is not new for The Friends of Island Beach State Park, it is an event that we have visited as guests and wanted to be at as vendors for the past few years. Have you ever tasted a beach plum? Most people haven't unless they have been to this kind of event, but don't worry, they have different ways to try them including ice cream and jelly. In addition to the beach plum goodies, there are over 100 arts and crafts vendors, children's games, and non-profits. Located on Island Beach State Park in swimming area 1 pavilion, there is plenty of parking available and the beach remains open during the event.

This is the 30th year for this wonderful show and will feature, "over 150 crafters, artists, and vendors offering hand made, vintage, and upcycled items for the heart and home." It is free to attend and will have a Kid's Zone complete with bouncy houses to make sure the whole family can enjoy the day. What could be better than a hayride in October? A haunted hayride! Enjoy the crisp October air as you take a 20 minute ride around the "haunted" Waretown Lake. Adults are $10 and kids under 12 are $8. You can also purchase express passes this year so that you don't have to wait in line! Their "Express Ghost Pass" is only $25. So come on by with your mittens and munchkins and get some delicious, warm glazed nuts. This is by far our spookiest event of the year.
