3/8/18 Info
Q6 is due tomorrow. Submit at least some problems in it by 3/9! If you don't complete it all of the questions by then, use a late pass and finish this weekend. You should also start the material for Q7 this weekend, and do the optional review and Practice Test before taking your test. If you have not scheduled your proctored test appointment to take Test 2, do that today by clicking here for the link. The test window dates for Test 2 start next week for those that want to take it before Spring Break: 3/16-3/29. It's up to you to schedule your appointment two weeks before you want to take the test to have the best chance of getting an appointment that works with your schedule. If you haven't scheduled yours yet, do so immediately. Otherwise, you may not be able to get an appointment as many classes have tests the week after spring break. Don't put it off!

This Thursday, 3/29/18, is the deadline to take Test 2 at your designated appointment time.
Some students have contacted me to ask if they can retake a test, reschedule their appointment, or to take it at another site. See below for the info in Test Info.
It is each student's responsibility to schedule each test appointment with the APC at least 2 weeks in advance (the earlier, the better) to get a time/place that works for you--you may do this in person, online or via phone. And it is important you arrange your schedule to be there at that time/place. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH APPOINTMENTS OR SCHEDULING. Contact the APC directly for all questions regarding scheduling appointments, rescheduling, taking tests at other approved proctoring sites, etc. Tests may NOT be retaken, taken late, or made up, but one missed test (or your lowest test score) will be replaced with your grade on the final (if your grade on the final is higher than your lowest test score).
Any of the following ways may be used to schedule or reschedule an appointment with the APC:
Go online: http://www.miracosta.edu/studentservices/proctoringcenter/scheduleyourappointment.html and scroll to bottom. Click the campus where you want to take the test.
Call them at 760-757-2121 ext. 6471 for OCN or ext 7752 for SEC)
Stop by (room 3333 at OCN, or room 101 at San Elijo)
Email them at proctoringcenter@miracosta.edu.
3/31/18 Math 64 Tests
If you took Test 2, you may review your answers and see the correct answers in your gradebook. In the test folder, you can practice the tests again in review mode. You can click the top right corner to create new similar questions to practice as much as you'd like.
Congrats to those of you who did well on the test! A lot of students earned an A! And
Most of the points in this class are based on test scores, and you need to pass most of the tests to pass the class. So if you did not do well on this test, you'll need to spend more time on this class. There is no extra credit, and tests may not be retaken or taken late. That is why I allow the grade on the final to replace the lowest test score--in case of emergencies or any other reason you miss a test. The material gets more difficult as the semester progresses, and you need to be proficient in the material from Test 1 and Test 2 to have a chance at what's coming up. Do all you can to be successful. Usually that means put in a lot of time. If you don't have the time necessary to do all that is required to fully understand the material and do well on the tests, consider dropping before the withdrawal date of 4/26/18.
If you did not take Test 2, and have not contacted me, you may be dropped unless I hear from you soon. Everyone needs to follow the attendance policies.
