2020 Holiday Greeting

Peace!

I wish for you a happy, healthy, fulfilling, satisfying year as we start a new decade! How can it possibly be 2020 already?! May it be filled with love, kindness, friendship, understanding, and compassion for all!

I want to thank those of you who have sent cards, greetings, letters and/or photos to us! It's so nice to receive them in the mail. I gave that up several years ago, which allowed me to get greetings out yearly, and in time more often!

After 2 years of study, John had a Bar Mitzvah last June with his Bnai Mitzvah class. Our friend Ron took this photo after the celebration at our home.

John is also busy teaching and after his walk to Starbucks each morning, he studies/researches something way over my head. We also take short mini-road trips, dance a lot, and see Ian play jazz vibes or rock and roll drums (where I get to dance).

Wolfgang (Jakob) lives in Oakland, and continues to build amazing structures for festivals.

Ian is building his music career, playing gigs, teaching, and giving lessons. He moved out last summer and lives in San Diego with his adorable girlfriend, Molly, who is a wild dancer like me. Click here to check out his website.

Kira is in her third year teaching geometry full time in Hayward, CA., and snowboards and rock climbs whenever she can.

After 38 years as a math teacher (32 at MiraCosta), I retired from full time teaching, and feel more healthy, and less stressed. It's awesome. I have time to learn more dances and to dance a lot at home and elsewhere. And I have more time to hang out with our 4 cats, organize the house, take walks while listening to music, sing, etc.

I wish you a happy holiday season, especially if you are celebrating a special one: Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or another one I don't know about.

Love,

Julie (and John by proxy)
