As a soloist he regularly performs in recitals in Belgium and he has also given concerts in Luxemburg, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, China and Japan. His chamber music partners include, amongst others, Yuki Hori (violin), Jan Sciffer (cello), Hendrik and Ludo Ide (Piano Trio "I Giocatori"). He has also performed with the Danel String quartet, the Belgian National Orchestra, the Flemish Radio Orchestra and the Flemish Radio Choir.
His discography comprises about fifteen CD recordings, many of which are devoted to the piano music of Joseph Jongen. He also recorded the integral violin sonatas of Brahms with violinist Yuki Hori (Phaedra Classics 292017), the Celis and Vierne cello sonatas with cellist Jan Sciffer (Phaedra, In Flanders’ Fields vol. 60) and the Martinu, Hindemith and Schoeck sonatas with Jan Guns (bass clarinet). These recordings were highly acclaimed by both the Belgian and international press: “Finesse, delicacy, smoothness, energy, airiness, warmth… Hans Ryckelynck admirably delivers some sensational piano playing.” (Jongen and Lonque piano music recording, 2006)
His latest solo CD (César Franck & Joseph Jongen) was reviewed as follows: “… Hans Ryckelynck really appears to be particularly comfortable with Jongen’s poetic universe, as he completely outclasses all previous versions of the Préludes…, a really superb recording, in every respect…, … a sign of an exceptional musician and pianist.” (Michel Tibbaut - Resmusica - 2011)
Hans Ryckelynck is regularly invited to give master classes (International Music Academy Dinant, Jeunesses musicales, Vlamo, Muzikamp) or as a jury member in competitions (Concours International André Dumortier, Steinway Piano competition, Cantabile, Belfius Classics).
