I am an economist with a research focus on international economics and development economics, in particular development issues in the developing world. Born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam, I am passionate about drawing and painting portraits. Painting is the best way allowing me to overcome barriers of culture and language. Painting also allows me to pay tribute to the beauty and the soul of people over the developing world, and to their cultures that have been unfortunately diluted by globalization.
