Welcome to my little spot on the world wide web! You might ask what are those letters and number up there above this paragraph. Well that is my amateur radio callsign issued to me by the FCC. Amateur Radio (also known as Ham Radio) is a great hobby that is very useful as well as fun. We help with disaster communications as well as severe weather watching along with many other avenues of this hobby. Here is an excellent link discussing many of the Emergency Communications services we are active in. Amateur radio is an amazing hobby that I picked up on years ago, waaaay back in 1990 to be exact, when a few friends had the study guide for the technician license. Well I never took the test it was put off until later on in September 1997 to be exact when I took the test, passed it and became KF4UAE. Then later on on June 27th 2003 I applied for my vanity call and got the callsign K4UAE. For more information on Amateur Radio see the link for Beginner's Guide to Ham Radio. Thanks and e-mail with any questions.
Wow!! Long time since and update... just a quick note as far as what is going on with me now. Something happened about two years ago going on three now... I met the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life. And now she is my wife!!! Hehe On June 10th 2006 I got married!! And I am happier than I ever have been!! I owe it all to one person who had the thought to introduce us.... Thanks Jo I owe ya' more than I can ever repay!! Amy (my wife) is the greatest ever!! And to think it is funny how we have to go through what we do to get to where we are now. I Love You Amy!! and thank you for all that you are!! Ok, now as for the web site here. I'll be updating it more and more as time permits. The old Rover station/truck is gone... sold, and a new one has been bought... full size this time!! more room for people... AND radio gear!!!
