The Smart Biomedical Systems Lab (Σ Lab) at the San Diego State University focuses on:
- Circuits and systems design for wearable and implantable sensing and neuromodulation applications,
- Energy-efficient analog/neuromorphic/mixed-mode signal processing in hardware, and
- Human subject studies for clinical translation.
The Σ Lab aims to advance the state-of-the-art real-time health monitoring systems, introduce novel sensing modalities, and facilitate development of reliable health monitoring and neuromodulation systems that can be used in resource-limited settings.
