I encourage students to participate in competitions, because competitions help students to use what they have learnt in real situation, and by experience they truly understand the benefits of computer science in their lives.
My students participated in Mobarat Al Ouloum competition:
- In 2010, a team of 3 students in secondary two won the second place. Their project was about creating a software program that includes environmental information and games.

- In 2011, a team of 4 students won the second place. Their project was about a robot that helps blind and visually impaired people to move around in a touristic or a public place.
The video below was taken during the competition, it shows of the student explaining about the project.
The robotics team at school participate every year in the FLL competition.
In year 2010, the team won the first prize in the "Teamwork" section
In 2011, they won the first place in "Project" section
In 2013, the team members participated in the Arabic FLL and they won the first prize in "Project" section. And in Lebanon they won the first price in "Robot design" section.
